Dry-lining and Boarding
Dry lining quite simply means the application of plasterboard to surfaces such as
internal masonry. Using dry lining adhesive various types of boards are used such as fire lined, moisture resistant, sound blocking and insulated board of various thickness. The board's are fixed to walls with adhesive then levelled. The boards are then skimmed over to a uniform smooth finish ready for decoration this is a quicker method than sand and cement. Boarding is plasterboard fixed to timber with screws usually ceilings or partions and skimmed. |
